Kubota L 2500/Zetor 5211
My father passed leaving me w/ a Kubota L2500 4wd and a Zetor 5211. Most of my time on the farm was on an 8N and I got nuthin on the Zetor and just basic operations on Kubota. I need at least one running to maintain place. Have no serial #'s, Titles, Year models nuthin. Kubota has 1 Leaking seal in bucket (LB400) which I believe I can fix. Main issue is it will not go into gear while running. When it is not running will hit whole shift pattern. Was fine until I left it sitting for 90 days to figger out about seal kit for lift. The place is 300 miles south so it is not like I am going to be there every week end. Would appeciate any prayers, suggestions, best guesses ect. cuz right now I ain't got nuthin but good equipt. goin bad.

Welcome to TBN you will get much help here.
Where are you located?
Could be the clutch is stuck to the flywheel on the Kubota. I think I have heard of this happening before. Can you start it in gear if you press the clutch in. Be carefull and ready to shut it off when it takes off.
Here is a thread that talks about it.
Whats up with the Zetor? Just not starting? Will it turn over?

I farmed with 9N until we got a 600 series back in 56; several others since then. I can see how you would be confused. My first recommendation would be to order an Owner's Manual and Shop Manual and spend some time with them. Depending on where you live you might also want to visit a few dealers and have them show you some of the controls as they are all pretty much the same, just in different places.

I am truely sorry for your loss. Welcome to TBN and this might help to have parts manuals/diagrams for your tractors. This is a link to the Kubota books list that has some downdloads in PDF it will not be all you need but it is a start. Berniep sounds on the mark about the clutch and you may be able to work it loose without much trouble if there is an access cover. It may be possible to slip a stiff scraper or flat bar in and break it free. Make sure and set the brakes and put blocks in front of and behind the wheels and have someone hold the clutch down when you try to loosen the clutch disc. Let us know how it works out for you. All of this without the motor running.
