I知 doing alright in the deer category, thanks for your concern though. Just for the record these are all North Carolina bucks taken within a few miles of each other.
In order they were taken with, bow, rifle, bow, rifle, bow, rifle, rifle, muzzle loader.

Thank you sir, I’m a blessed man. I’m thankful to have somewhere to hunt, much less be able to harvest some.

Did you look closely? Ethical/legal hunters are supposed to have their identifying information on their arrows. Yank that sucker out and see if there is a phone number and then call the fish and game dept

Numbers on arrows? Are you kidding me? I bow hunted for years when I was younger, but haven’t in 20 years. Rifle hunting now for 44 years. Is this what the world is up to? I guess I’d better get some tags made saying “this creation made by “robertm” for the next time I drop a deuce in the national forest... and grab some lime.
This story, most likely, a hunter was a crappy tracker. Lost the deer. End of story. Everyone is a master tracker, yet 99% I find can’t track a deer with three wooden legs, dragging a piano, while heading to the hospital to get its fourth leg sewn back on.

I have hunted deer both archery and gun for over 50 years in Wisconsin and Illinois. I have never heard of providing identifying information on arrows. This is not a law in the two states mentioned that I know of.

I’ve archery hunted for 30 years and never heard of it until this thread. It’s not a law in N.C. either.
