Jeff, you may just be a genius! That item is chassis mounted, but they also have 3PH Universal Lifts rated to 2000 lbs. I called and they said the TT4800-

will lift 2000 lbs. up to 64" assuming a 24" 3PH lift, and the lift height without raising the 3PH is still 40". So even if the lift capacity of your 3PH is a little light, as long as the static strength is good enough, it's still useable up to 40".
Cost is about $4800 with shipping, so I have some figuring to do.

I have this theory, which makes my wife crazy, that anything you want is available in the USA; it is just a question of FINDING the item.

You could start a search on eBay for a used TT4800.

Just as a little compare here: Ii can buy a loader for my quicke loader for my 5083e John Deere for $6000. And it's lift capacity at 10' high is 2600 ish pounds. That is a cool tool but a loader is sure a lot handier.

Nothing on these forks in the used market. Such a specialty item, people probably have a tendency to hang on to them.
I could make that 3PH fork lift work, but by the time I get a local Kubota with a hefty enough 3PH, then add in the Universal Lift, I'm still quite a bit higher in price than if I go with a tractor from a more distant dealer. (Our local dealer has a good rep for service, but also a good rep for their high tractor prices!) And I've still got a tractor with a much lower rated FEL. I could get by with a less stout FEL, but if I'm going to be spending thousands more, I'd rather get a more robust all around package. I think the pros of a more distant dealer at this point outweigh the cons, as long as it's a good dealership.
I called the closest LS dealer, about 135 miles away, and was impressed with the conversation we had. I'm headed that way tomorrow to take a look at his tractors, and get a better feel for the dealership. The Mahindra dealer is about 80 miles away, but in the other direction, so that'll be for another day.

I'm in the Flathead Valley about 20 miles west of Kalispell. Tim is who I talked to on the phone, felt good enough about that conversation to make the trip down and talk to him. That visit was what prompted me to go ahead and order a 4046 from him. Just waiting for it to come in now.
I'm relieved to hear you say he is a top quality dealer, but I must say I'm not surprised. He seemed like a real stand up guy, and I was impressed with the guys I talked to at the shop. And I liked the tractor as well!
