Trading up from my Ford 1920 started a few years back. Once I stopped at a huge JD dealer where there were two salesmen standing around. When they asked what kind of tractor I had now, I told them and they looked at each other and smirked. Seeing how that 1920 was about the best mechanical device I had ever owned, it was hard for me to believe their tractors wer as good as they appeared to think they were.

The Kubota dealer here in Ashland KY are a wonderful group to deal with....sure they get busy, especially during spring/summer/fall and they get behind, it's business.

I know they express frustration with Kubota on parts and parts numbers. Kubota has a change the number policy that confuses everyone except Kubota.

Ya know there's job security at Kubota if you know where the cross reference books are located.

It is simply amazing how some of these dealers sell anything, let alone get a return customer. I researched my purchase for about a year before I bought and had visited about 10 different dealers around the state. I had several dealers give me quotes and only one ever called me back to follow up.

I finally bought from a dealer I liked and trusted. There are three other Kubota dealers closer. I have been nothing but pleased with them so far. He also had the best price by far! My BX2230 was delivered full of fuel and shiny. I went 25 hrs later to get an oil filter and he gave me one. I had a hydraulic leak by the steering valve, they came out to look at it on Saturday afternoon, found out it had a bad casting (pinhole) Took the tractor back to their shop, fixed it, and had it back to my house by 1:00 pm on Monday! The dealer is over an hour away!

I stopped back in last week to get my 50 hr service items, and he gave me an oil filter, a Hydraulic filter, and 2.5 gallons of Super UDT! He refused to let me pay for it, since I had trouble with the leak.

I sent in my next door neighbor who was looking for a new tractor. he ended up with a new B7800, FEL and brushcutter. Out of apreciation, my dealer is welding me up a trailer hitch to use in my three point hitch.

I am very happy with this dealer, and plan to buy all my parts and accessories from him, and send everyone I know needing a tractor to him. This guy knows what customer service is about.

Sorry to hear about some of the problems you guys have had. I know I would have had similar problems with some of the dealers I visited, especially the snobby JD dealers. I guess they have enough business, they don't have to try??? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It is not surprising to hear this is a common problem. Customer service has gone the way of the dodo bird with some folks. Glad to hear that it isn't the case with a few good dealers around the country. Shows me there is still a few good folks who are in business to help people . . . that is what is should be about.
