Any Kubota dealer can handle the warrantee work, just like a new car/truck. Don't go back, there are other dealers that will treat you right.

Don't be bashful, you can let us know the name of the dealer you are unhappy with.

1. Contact Kubota directly.
2. Contact the Better Business Bureau and Chamber Of Commerce and State Attorney General.
3. If the tractor is financed contact those and tell them you are stopping payments until the problem is taken care of since it's not you're fault.
4. Check state laws for a lemon law, they may have to replace the whole darn thing!

2nd generation risky

One tricky aspect of a family business is succession. Often the 2nd generation takes the business for granted and never really understands what makes it work. Later, when one of them tries running it, the business declines.

Re: 2nd generation risky

I also think that todays business people are looking much more short term than in the past. The younger generation (which I am a part of) want to make a buck quicker and they think that it's better to try to deny any outflow of cash that takes from the bottom line directly. Whereas, fixing something to keep a good business relationship, which in the long term is better than the few bucks you save, is much more intangible.

And finally, I would suggest you find out if he has access to a computer, web and email.

First, find out the direct name of his superior (sales manager, regional director, etc.)

Inform BOTH OF THEM that you are a participant on this (public domain) board and are having great pleasure sharing your wonderful experiences here with approximately 35,000 other tractor owners.

(This is NOT extortion so relax)

What goes round comes round.

I definitly contacted everyone the very next day. Right now the new part works so I plan on making him a distant memory.

Maybe now, a distant memory is the best medicine.

Nice work at sticking up for yourself. Sometimes that's not so easy to do.

I am having a problem with my new 2910, but at this point the dealer is trying to fix it. The Kubota rep is coming to my house next week. Something you mentioned irks me as well. My machine is barn kept and always clean and waxed. He sent the mechanic to work on the loader problem while I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago and when I returned home to look at it, the paint was chipped up and it was COVERED with greasy handprints/w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif. I spent the next two hours cleaning and waxing it again to remove my frustration before I called them back. My problem is loader removal. One of the stops on the top of the tractor loader frame was welded back too far, allowing the loader to travel past the upper pin holes on one side and preventing pin insertion when installing the loader. Others have told me that the pin should easily go in and out when the front wheels are raised and the loader is seated in the frame for installation. I have to insert the right side pin, then lower the front wheels to the ground and play with the joy stick to insert the left side. Just the opposite when removing loader. I took measurements and found one stop to be almost an eigth of an inch further back than the other three, so it will never allow the pin to line up without a good deal of messing around. I have had two answers so far; that is as good as it gets and throw the users manual away/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif, that is not how it is designed to work. I don't like either answer. The dealer is trying, he is new to Kubota and my feeling is that his only fault is not understanding how it is supposed to work. We shall see.

Yeah I don't understand how a proffessional mechanic can work on somebodies new vehicle and not take precautions. To chip paint is irresonsible and to not simply wipe down a nice shiny new bright orange machine is lazy and sloppy> a good mechanic is none of the above>
Whenever i borrow something i make sure its returned in better condition than when i borrowed it< its just a simple respect for other peoples stuff and for tools or machines in general>
At least your dealer seems to be trying< Iwould run from the one that said thats as good as it gets
good luck
