Has 300x loader and smaller r4 tires. If I had the choice I'd go 300cx, and bigger r4 tires. Is it worth, if I make a deal on it, to try to trade and upgrade the loader to a cx or 165?

Also, are the current small r4's "sellable", wheels and tires, and then I can just replace with the bigger ones? Or is there a market for liking the smaller ones better where I could do a trade or is the preference for the small ones?

Thanks!

Lot of discussion here on upgrading the 3000 series with larger tires and wheel spacers, etc. because of stability issues. So, I'd be surprised if you'd have alot of takers lining up!

Also, if you are buying a new tractor... Get what you think you want/need 'cause if you don't you'll always be wondering if you shoulda, woulda, coulda!

Thanks for the insight. I'll check it out just because its so close, but still leaning 41/4320 route. Think a 4 series would suit better for the long haul. We shall see!

Is this a used tractor coming in? If it is new the tractor and loader come from two different plants - at the dealership they decide which (if any) loader to install. In regards to the tires do not, I repeat DO NOT purchase a 3x20 series with the small R4 tires.

It's used. Inbound, and should have around 100hrs on it. Tell me more about why not to go small tires. I want big just for look, ground clearance and possible better lower ground pressure. Tell me more!!!!

This fall, I traded in a 3032e [r4 tires] for a 3046r/cab [with the larger r4 tires] since that was how the dealer ordered it.
Other than the cosmetic fender-fill, I am unable to tell a difference in the tire sizes. I am impressed with the HP boost though of the 'r' over the 'e'.

I do notice more of a "bucking" going down our self-maintained road, but that may simply be the air-seat or the weight/balance of the 'r'.
[or a subtle hint to rebuild the road...]

Thanks for feedback. I'm considering this 3520, but also wondering if new 3039r may be better, and for the $$$, a leftover 4230 is appealing. How's your 46r so far?

I am LOVING the 46r - going from open station to cab is a relearning experience since you are isolated from the elements, you have to look more - rather than "feel' your environment as you go.
[same as driving a car vs a motorcycle]

Deal went down tonight, and I pulled the trigger on the 3520. Fit me needs, still under warranty, and fit my budget. Didn't like the small r4s, so dealer is swapping for new big r4s with tires, rims, and methanol loading. Bummed about the 300x, but it's stIll light years ahead of the kubota la402 I've been ok with. Hope to see the tractor in a week or 2.
