Tractor
kubota BX22, Cub ZForce S 48 inch deck
I have another post about a major failure in my tranny or hydro system on my BX22. I'm at the point due to time and lack of knowledge that I need to get this tractor into a dealer for professional help. I purchased the tractor back in 2004 New at the now defunct Laspina lawn care in North Huntington PA. haven't had the tractor to the dealers since 2005. I haven't had a chance to deal with Golden Eagle who bought them out.
Any western PA people have any recommendations for dealers to consider. Looking for an hour or two from Pittsburgh region. I'll probably trailer it myself so delivery fees are not a major concern, just looking for good service people to deal with. Messicks is too far at this point.

I just bought there (Golden Eagle on 30) and they have a lot of service work going in and out. Seems ok
Do you not want to go there?

Also delivery is only $25 off, so hardly worth the gas.

Thanks, I guess I was looking for confimation of someone who has been there. What your opinion of the place is.
I'm thinking you just purchased a tractor from them and they charged you $25 for delivery?
Laspina's delivered mine for "free" but I do remember a pick up and delivery fee of over a hunded for a warranty repair back in 2005. Not a very pleasant surprise, the service manager did wave most of it since it was warranty work.
Didn't have anything bad to say about Laspina's but I did get the feeling the professional contractor customers where getting head of line and my tractor sat for a while. They picked it up and didn't move it for a week. I drove by the place everyday back then for work so I saw it sitting.
I know the repair is going to be costly and I don't mind paying for good work, just don't want to deal with surprises or get told I need to buy a new tractor.

I live about 15 miles from there so i thought the trailering fee was pretty steep back in 05'. When I was looking to buy my tractor the place on 380 ( Bush tractor, now Artmans?) told me they wouldn't service any tractor not purchased off them... just too busy.... so I haven't been back there since... since they had so many customers already......

I get delivery tomorrow so I can't say about service, I do most of my own elec/mech work so I hope never to find out.
But all my questions were answered fully by the staff there.
I do think you assessed the contractor work correctly at laspina, but there were a lot of homeowner types in and out the 4/5 times I was there and they seemed pleased and friend with the staff.
Better than the other 6 dealers I have driven all over to visit and price.

Best of luck and let us know what was wrong and how they do, where ever you get fixed.

Good luck with the new tractor.

been to the waynesburg dealer but not for service, only parts and manuals. they've always been helpful in person and on the phone.

not sure how kubota works but if it's similar to auto dealers you may want to price two out - call and ask what HST replacement costs at two different bota dealers and see if there's any difference. even if that's not what you need, might give you a baseline and in the auto world prices can vary substantially.

HST is shot.... 1545 for HST and a few misc seals and 1200 for labor, tax and fluids. I'm sort of wondering if this guy is right because the way I understand it the HST is bolted up front of the axle and the sound is coming from the area right above and slightly forward of the right rear tire. There goes a nice chunk of the pole barn fund.:smiley_aafz:

Sounds like Vacarri Enterprises...I deal exclusively with them for parts. I have had mixed feelings with Golden Eagle...Vaccarri is under new ownership, but seems to maintain the same core values as it's previous owners.
