JINMA 284 LE & YANMAR 240 D
The sharp yellow 284LE in another thread by Mrs3RRL features pics of the rear remotes on her new tractor.

Can the remote set up for that tractor be ordered, purchased and attached to my 284LE, manufactured March, 2004 ?

I present the question here and appreciate any dealer response.

Pending a dealer response, you might want to consider the aftermarket. The Chinese fittings are metric, and the QD couplers are not known to be compatible with the standard QD couplers found on most implements that use hydraulic assist.

My KM454 for example; it came with 4 remotes and 4 male QDs. Two males went on my HTL, the other 2 on my log splitter. All fine and good, as long as I use those implements on the KM454. I couldn't however, lend either to my neighbor. The male QDs wouldn't mate with the females on his Case or his JD. Conversely - as much as I'd love to - I can't borrow his wheel disc. His male QDs won't mate with my Chinese females.

To go standard aftermarket for me - already having Chinese remotes - would involve bulky metric to standard adapter fittings. But if you started with standard aftermarket from scratch, you'd avoid the limitations I now face with my Chinese remotes.

I agree with Greg, go after market. I have a 2003 254 that I put one set on to run my log splitter. I just plumbed it between the pump and FEL input side. I had all the hoses custom made at a hydraulic shop. Just make sure you get a valve that is open center.

Those rear fittings on the Jinma are not true remotes. They are a half remote and a return. The supply on the right is "T'd" into the hydraulics between the 3PH control valve and the 3PH cylinder. You need to close the 3PH speed reg valve(down in front of the seat) all the way to force the fluid to flow to the outlet QC on the right side of hte tractor. If you don't, the 3PH arms will lift and the control linkage will shut off the control valve and stop the flow when the 3PH arms get to full height.

This port will provide full system flow, and you can use this to power something by placing a open center valve in between the QC's. But you will not be able to operate the 3PH while this valve is connected...

Ron, you are correct and wrong at the same time. I have a way of doing that also. Her new Jinma does have true remotes, the first ones I have seen. They have 2 separate controls located on the right side of the seat. What you are talking about is the variety the older Jinma 200 series had. I am no sure if it was a option when she ordered the tractor or if it is one of the many improvements they have added since I got my tractor back in 2003.

Here is couple of pics of her tractor.

That is interesting about the newer jinma, I hadn't noticed that in the new jinma pics. I was thinking about Coreys 2004 Jinma 284 but didn't make that distinction in my post.

I would guess his dosn't have any provision for this as his is a little older than mine, and it would be a custom job to integrate anything else back there to give it a true rear remote. I noted a few months ago when I picked up my backhoe, that the newer Jinmas have a different larger lift box and valve assembly. I don't think there is an easy way to retrofit the newer remote valve assembly to his older valve/lift box as they appeared to me to be completely different.

Ron,
I can vouch that Chris is correct ... those are true rear remotes and not the 1/2 remote you are talking about. I have run my hydraulic implements on it already. They come with QD's that are compatible with my 1/2" Pioneer QD's. They are, in fact, 1/2NPT and they fit perfect.

corey,
As far as adding them to an older model Jinma 284, I would install an after market valve like a Prince...at least a 2 spool valve to give you 2 sets of rear remotes. The only adapters you need would be to go from your (possibly) 18mm or 22m x 1.5 threads on your tractor (whatever) to NPT, JIC or ORB, whatever your new valve will be. So everything back from the valve including your QD remotes are American.

Thank you greg g, Diamondpilot, Ron Mar.
Your input is very useful if I do a custom remote set up.

Looking at the two pics of the remote set up on the Mrs3RRL yellow 284LE there is little reason to suspect that it is not a "true remote".

Chinese appear to make gradual revisions with specific models, i.e 284LE.

My 03/04 manufactured 284LE has the new design fiber glass hood, steel rear wheel fenders, new design headlights, low slung below the radiator battery, single panel instrument display, new style 3PH (no chains). I do not have a FEL or BH.

I need to rule out that the remote set up as on Mrs3RRL yellow 284LE cannot be an OEM component that will function on my 284LE.
If it is a functional OEM component then a purchase, if possible, is in order. If not then I need to do a custom job.

3RRL, thanks for your comments and the pics.

3RRL, any chance of sharing some additional multiple pics, from many angles, of the remote set up on the yellow 284LE, especially horizontal shot pics of the attachment of the system to the housing on the right side near the rear wheel lock up lever.
Also, can you share your dealer name?
Don't want to violate any TBN protocol.

Appreciate you guys,

You will find you can do a custom remote setup for a 200 series Jinma fairly cheap. I am guessing I have $70 in the valve, $50 in the hoses, and maybe $25 in other pieces like the Pioneer Quick connects.

Hi corey,
We're going up this weekend so I'll try to remember taking more photos of her tractor for you. You might have seen on her thread that this was a crate tractor I got through my friend Scott (flyhiflylo). He ordered the remotes and the color. So I'm not sure (?) you can get them as an add on kit from a dealer such as Tommy or Ronald? Maybe they can tell you better.

But for sure, adding your own valve and rear remotes can be done. It is relatively easy once you figure out what needs to be done. I went through a learning curve when I installed my own additional 3 spool valve for my rear remotes on my Kama 554. One I got it in my head of how to plumb it, it became pretty easy to do. I did a thread about it if you are interested. Pehaps it will give you some ideas and remove some doubt you might have? Towards the end is where the new valve is installed. Adding Hydraulic Side Links and Remote Valve
