I am in the preliminary stages of looking for a Yanmar tractor in the 33-40 hp range 4x4 with powershift trans, also wanting a loader, but can get that elsewhere if needed. I have 3 dealers located and would like any feed back either from the three dealers or anyone who have had any dealings with them. I know of Hoye tractor in Wichita Falls, Triple DDD tractor over near Sherman, and TTT auto/tractor sales around Kenadale. I know of one person that has bought from TTT and seemed satisfied, but he uses his tractor relitively little and I don't know if he has really worked it. I have seem it and it looks nice (new paint etc). I would like to know if the tractors sold are "reconditioned" and if so what was being done to them. I was hoping for input in relationship to any problems that might come up within say 90 days or so(big problems such as clutch, engine, radiator trans, etc) Not so much worried about scratches, lights not working etc. And would you buy from these people again? Thanks for any feedback

I visited with Aaron and Stan at Hoye Tractor in Wichita Falls not long after getting my F15 in an auction in Oklahoma. I needed to get a three point hook-up installed. As with any service provider, it is not necessarily the product or price that is involved as it is the confidence level that they will stand behind what they sell. I am very mechanically inclined and only went to them because they were close (1 1/2 hour from Weatherford, Tx), and I was in a hurry to start using the mower. I also bought several implements from them (brush hog, box blade, and a 30" scoop)and for less than I could get them at TSC. I was very impressed with the integrity of them both and their operation. If I needed some work performed on my tractor again, I would definitely load it up and haul it to them. Trust is a very fragile thing but they earned mine by doing what they said they would do. They had some very nice looking tractors on hand, too. I think (personal opinion) that their prices are competitive and their expertise is extensive in the repair of Yanmar or other greys. If you want to email me off-line, we could discuss it further. I do know they are providing several small dealers with tractors (some with loaders, some without) around my area, but you are going to pay a hefty commission if you buy from them. BTW, I am not connected to them in any way. You asked if anyone had dealt with them and I had.

Let me first say that i am in no way connected to tripleDDD, other than that i purchased my first tractor from them a month ago. I would have to say that Andy and his wife and son are wonderful to deal with. I was allowed to drive any tractor they had for sale. Not just drive it but they let me work the implements, move dirt with the front loaders , drag around some box blades , etc. None of the yanmars that were on their lot had been repainted(read...Nothing covered up!). The only things repainted on the tractor were the rims. It was not because they were hiding anything ,just a little extra they do for the customer. Their prices are some of the best that i have seen. I was skeptical at first because of the prices but after spending 2 or 3 hours at their place, i saw the quality of the greys they have. If your not looking for the prettiest thing in the world but want to see the actual condition of these fine tractors they import, I would recommend visiting them. I must say again that they are really good honest people. Very straight forward. Before the sale was final Andy even told me about the 5-14 tires and the difficulty getting them for the model tractor I was buying. It would not hurt to go visit them. check out their shop and test out some tractors. Won't cost you anything but a little time and gas. And I'm sure finding a decent tractor and folks to stand behind it are worth that. I ended up buying an 1820D with a koyker FEL and a 4' howse boxblade, A yanmar 1300 tiller and a 16 foot trailer. Andy and his wife delivered it at no charge at 90 miles. I'll try and attach a pic of my favourite new toy!

I would not call this location a dealership. However, half way between Granbury and Glen Rose on Hwy 144 is a lot with 30 or 40 various impliments and three or four Yanmar tractors.

Next time I going by I check for a name or phone number and type Yanmars he has. Then repost my findings.

What did the tractor cost with loader, box & tiller (minus the trailer)?

The whole package set me back $8900. The 16' trailer was equiped with 2 3500# axles and trailer brakes. It was about $800 of the package. $ 8100 for the tractor (405 hrs),Koyker 110 FEL (new),BB (new), and tiller (used yanmar in great shape). For the model of tractor and the little extras it came with (new rear rice tires, the hydraulic connecting link, 4/w-drive, powershift on the colum, and power stearing) I think it was a pretty fair deal. I forgot to mention in my previous reply that they changed all fluids and filters for me at no hidden charge. They did not promise to do this. When Andy and his wife delivered my tractor and was going over it with me ,he told me they had done it. One of the little things that really makes me enjoy doing business with tripleddd. rccoyote

Hi everybody, I REALLY appreciate your participation in this post. Both of the places that were discussed,Hoye, and Triple DDD are within 1 1/2 hrs of me. I was hoping to find out a little about TTT tractor in Kenedale, but apperantly no one has any dealings with them. Do these two places install loaders? Koyker preferably. I noticed that Triple DDD has tractors that are not available yet, what is being done to these tractors? Anybody know? Thanks again for the info.

tx_swordguy:
both retailers you talked about Hoye & triple DDD both say on there web sites that they use Koyker loaders and I did see on my latest news letter fron Hoye that they have a new souce for loaders. If you check both web sites , Hoye & Triple DDD you will find there phone #'s and I'm sure they will be happy to answer any question you have, I have talked to the feller at hoye tractors once and he is very open and honest.
