We have been doing that for over 20 years and it does really help. However, It does have its downside, there are a few customers that always want to negotiate off that bottom dollar marked on each piece and will walk, if they cant get a discount. Usually we lose these sales. To be fair to the rest of our buying customers, Bottom dollar marked should mean bottom dollar to everyone. We have tried to address these nibbler buyers by adding a multi piece purchase discount of $10 off all items over one.--Ken Sweet

It's not just the tractor industry. Customer service in most companies has gone down the toilet over the years. When I find a company with good company service, I try to stick with them. My Insurance company is great (Amica) and when we went on our honeymoon cruise (Carnival cruiseline), the service was like nothing else I have ever seen. I felt like a king on the cruise, and you know what? I would go again in a heartbeat.

Being someone whose indirectly in sales for ad space and also for technology (computers), I've always said that no one remembers what they paid - only what they saved. Hence, price high and discount high. Low list and low discount is only effective with commondity items.
