Around here the Hyundai and Kia's fair pretty well for rust. Hyundai did have a recall for cross-member rust. Can't say the same for any brand of pickup older than 10 years.
Dealership keeps calling, wont come down on price

I agree. From what I've seen the Asian cars seem to do a little better for rust resistance. It could be because there's more plastic on some of these cars, which doesn't rust. Even up here.

Wife had a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe that she loved. Would probably still be driving it today if she hadn't totaled it by hitting a moose. She replaced it with a new 2008 model. After 2 steering rack replacements and several other smaller issues, it went down the road for a Chrysler 300. The quality didn't seem to be there for that particular unit.

Hyundai and Kia are the two cars I would look at first if I was in the market for a new car. I've been in their sedans and found them to be extremely smooth, powerful and comfortable.
