Ok I just read this entire thread, and all I can say is I wish I could "unsee" it
Brian

When someone else reads it from the beginning they will see where you became a willing participant and made your own contribution.
Someone mentioned this had over a dozen views, it has 10440 when I opened it and 19 pages. I wonder if the server that stores these threads has a limit. Hope it doesn't start deleting past threads as new ones are entered.
OK, I think I'm done with this thread. Over 10000 views is surely enough and 19 pages of very helpful answers to the OP should have him totally prepared for the necessary action to be taken in his dreadful situation and nowhere did I see anyone recommend he throw his Kubota away and buy a Green tractor to resolve his/her problem. I feel good about that.
I believe the same issue COULD happen with any brand and contrary to what some people are thinking though they aren/t saying it, this is not a Kubota specific issue.

I think real issue is common to most kubota tractors. Its a common problem for most kubotas, there is likely a short circuit in the seat to steering wheel linkage.

A few posts back, there was a wrench for sale to tighten up the loose nut behind the wheel. :D

Yup, those orange nuts tend to loosen up easily!

After considerable pondering I believe I've arrived at a, what I consider probable, conclusion.
I believe this buyer had owned other brand tractors (maybe Green)) and had always heard, especially every time his broke so often or was serviced, that Kubotas never broke, are perfect and their dealers are to. So when he say a few bugs in the situation, due to his high expectations, he sort of got maybe overly distraught.
Now obviously after buying 14 Kubotas and seeing no reason to try anything different since I've been so satisfied with them even I can/will say they aren't perfect. I did own one that the fuel gauge wasn't totally accurate and one had a bad rubber ring around the gas lid. Now I'm not saying all are the same, I'm just giving my own actual experience.
Anyway this should throw this thread here in the Kubota Owners Forum in a different direction.:cool2:

Dear Sir: I am somewhat puzzled. In your post, you stated that "I read label on oil bucket in parts and it doesn't meet Kubota specs". You also stated that the tractor wouldn't start, and that the 3 point hitch was on backwards and that each fender had only one bolt in them instead of the required 4 bolts. Did you notice this before you took your tractor Home? Apparently you noticed the wrong oil was used before you took possession of your tractor since you stated that you "read label n oil bucket in PARTS" Did you not check your Tractor out before you picked it up from the dealer? You obviously had adequate time to do so, since you stated that you saw 4 mechanics working on your Tractor and that you even observed one mechanic pouring generic oil in the tranny. I am confused as to why you accepted your Tractor and paid the bill. If you took your Tractor home from the dealer, you obviously had to start it to put the tractor on the trailer. The more I look over and read your post, I am still pondering why you accepted your Tractor without first checking the work performed on it.

I wholeheartedly agree. I was wondering the same thing. Dan, I know your a new member but you have to help us out on this one. I'm not saying your wrong for being extremely upset about your service at the dealership (or lack thereof) but I cant help but wonder why in the world your post didnt explain that the the manager and mechanics and you had a meeting of the minds when you discovered all the shotty work that was being performed on your tractor right there at the dealership! I cant say I have ever had that happen to me, but I can say my tractor wouldnt have left their shop until someone made things right, and Kubota corporation usually doesnt play when it comes to customer satisfaction, and I'm sure they wouldnt condone the actions of the mechanics or what they did. Instead of worrying about what you can sue for, I would start talking to all the upper management personell from Kubota starting at the dealership and working my way up until I was satisfied if I were you. Kubota didnt get where they are at now by allowing any of their "AUTHORIZED" dealers do what you claim was done to you. If they did I sure as heck would never buy another one.

When did we start talking about tractors?!?!?!

I thought this was an open group therapy session-

As for the "short circuit" between the seat and the wheel........ I know of many situations that could be applied! Wonderful Phrase-

Yea, but Green tractor owners are smarter than that.

We wouldn't want a Orange nut owning a Green tractor. That would mean he would just transform into a Green nut.

And no one likes green nuts.

It is much more fun to watch this train wreck from afar.
