Sickle Bar Dearborn 14-15 on new tractor

Hi all, I recently picked up a Dearborn 14-15 7 sickle bar mower for $200. I have the manual and I致e been looking it over, it appears that there is supposed to be a bracket on the right hand side. I have a Mahindra 1533 tractor, I thought this would just be a standard 3-point hookup but now I知 wondering if I知 over my head. This is my first go at this and I知 finding myself learning a lot of lessons the hard (expensive) way. Any help on how to hook up is appreciated, the manual only references hooking up to a 8N/9N style tractor.

Your Mahindra 1533 has a standard Category 1, Three Point Hitch.

The Ford 8N/9N also have a standard Category 1, Three Point Hitch.

Your Mahindra 1533 is close in dimensions to the Ford 8N/9N.

You should be able to figure out how to mount the mower if all the mower parts are there.

Do you have experience mounting other Three Point Hitch implements?

Stop by Mike's Farm Equipment, there North of town. He's located almost directly across from the entrance to Great Seal State Park. He can answer about any question you may have on it. He's been dealing in new & used equipment for years, and is, I'm sure familiar with the mower you have. Great place to buy aftermarket parts, and has a meager amount of used equipment around there. Great guy to deal with, and will treat you right.

There's a bracket that clamps to the right side 3pt arm. It creates another pin to fasten the trip mechanism to. I'll try to get a pic of mine today.

Yes, I知 pretty adept at most 3-point hookups, this breakaway bar has me stumped though. I can稚 seem to find a way to attach it since I don稚 have the original bracket. Was hoping that someone had some experience with this particular model. I don稚 have a lot of tools for fabricating, unfortunately either.

Yes, I think I'm missing those, and I don't see where they would attach if I get them. Although looking at your photos I wondered why there would be 2 anchor brackets, looked at the manual again and I think I'm missing a stabilizer bar on the left side.

You only need one, depends on the setup, but yours would need a right hand side bracket. For yours it will not be a bolt on part, you will have to hook up the three point and then see were the arm ends up on your tractor and fab a mount for it. I’m not sure what your talking about as for a stabilizer on the left side.
