That's a tough row to hoe, when you see what cancer has done to your friend, you know life can be cruel.. I certainly would not want to continue suffering because the result is the same, what's the point, it's going to kill you regardless..

I got the call this morning, and his suffering is over. Although I knew it was inevitable and would be happen soon after I saw him, it's still hard to digest. Seeing him and knowing his time was short..and knowing that he knew his time was short.. words were hard to formulate for any conversation. I only hope he knew he had friends he left behind that will miss him dearly.

I am sorry to hear that but his suffering is over, You went to see him so he knew he had people that will miss him..

I watched my father suffer for 10 years with mold spores attacking his lungs and then killing him, life is cruel for some, having to live with paraplegia is nothing compared to how some people suffer with horrible diseases.
