That is exactly the style trailer I'm talking about. What length? and when loaded with tractor do you feel you need to slow down on back roads because of turns and bouncing?
22'. I slow a bit with it loaded, but not to bad. Mostly on dirt roads with lots of potholes. Of course I slow with the trailer empty or no trailer dodging those potholes.

It is a little high & I do slow more for corners on paved roads. I did with my old 16' tilting deck with the deck 1.5-2' above the gr po under too. I can feel the extra height a bit, but it's not as bad as I was expecting when I first got it. It has a fresher suspension than the old trailer, and when combined with 5-7k of load on a 14k suspension instead of 3-4k of load (my former L3200) I think it actually rides better.

I LOVE the ground clearance. Getting that ham tower I had to put the Tacoma in 4wd getting around hairpin turns climbing a dirt road in the Rockies. No problems. My old tilting deck was so low. Nice for loading, not so much for slightly rough ground.

This is what I ended going with. Drug 250 miles home, pulls great, smooth even at 80. Has the equipment style paint, not powder coated. Sealed harness. 14900 payload, getting reduced to 14.5.

Love how this website jumbles up pictures and inserts gibberish characters. I guess pics are oriented correctly if you click on them and open them up.

So 7k or 8k axles?

Are you only pulling the M62 no loaded tires, no backhoe? I did all the weights on mine and I am at almost 12k with loaded rears and the backhoe.

Personally I would not go under 18k on a trailer with this machine, just in case you need to pull with the BH.

12k?? surely your loaded tires dont weigh 3k.

Even with the m58 I owned and used for construction since 2010 I have never once needed any extra weight.

Ive pulled the m58 and the m62 since 2010 with a 14k trailer... probably more than 50k miles, maybe more. M62 is a 9000lb machine, trailer has payload capacity of 10900.

On a side note, some 16k plus trailers have less payload capacity than some 14k trailers. I thought that was interesting. One of the reasons I went with this trailer instead of one with 8k axles. Some manufactures overbuild trailers absolutely killing payload. Thats where engineering comes in.

What specific trailer do you have?

The bottom of the link has the weight listed.

I am thinking with my grapple. It is just under 1k. The tires are around 700 each loaded. No trailer for this machine yet. I was just looking and figured on an 18k to be safe.
