I agree with your comments. I have not needed the loaded tires with the X739, but do go relatively slow because there are a couple of spots with a slight dip which increases the angle slightly when passing. I can't get on the fender because have not unhooked the safety switches, so have to keep enough weight on edge of the seat to keep them activated. I don't think the unit will ever tip, but if I do, I'd like the blades to stop when I fall off. At least that way, I only have to worry about being crushed by the machine and not "mulched" as well. (<-;Best thing I've found useful mowing across slopes is loaded tires and sitting out almost on the high side fender. Even then you need to know when to let it run down hill some.
