I did not op for the optional Quick Attach. I studied the QA but could not come up with a reason to purchase it. While it is a nice option, I really have no need to swap out the bucket with anything. I can't even think of a reason to ever detach the FEL itself.

Several mentioned the ability to add pallet forks or a round hay bale spike, but my future plans are equestrian and you don't use the round bales for the ponies. I suppose I could use the pallet forks to move square bales, but I can just throw them in the bucket as well, or pull them on a small trailer attached to the drawbar.

As for the 4 way loader valve - not sure what I actually have on this one. My loader valve is a single lever with 4 positions - up, down, left, and right. What's left that the 4 way would do? Or is that the 4 way? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Keith, I did not go with the QA either but can see for folks who would use various implements on the loader it would be a tremendous feature. The 4 way as I understand it simply has a float position on the bucket dump cylinder as well as the standard float on the loader. Float is the position that allows the loader to "float" on the ground following its contours. It is the farthest forward position on your loader joystick and locks forward. The same would apply to the bucket dump. In this position it allows the bucket itself to float which could prove useful to a loader mounted snow equipment, other then that, I just don't know where my use for it would apply. How are you liking your L3130 HST? Power?, smooth?, quiet? Rat...

RaT, Thanks for the clarification on the 4 way. That might have been useful. My land is fairly flat - or it will be when I get done with it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Have a few too many berms and terraces for my liking.

The L3130 HST is GREAT! I've tried to hold my enthusiasm under control since this is the first tractor I have ever owned. My sum total of tractor experience has been a test drive of a NH TC35 and my L3130 HST. Not very fair to all the others out there. However, the tractor is VERY quiet and is handling everything I throw at it with ease. I can not reach top speed without scaring the be-ge-bees out of myself and it just hums along when I'm at work. The HST works flawlessly. I had a lot of experience in my youth running fork lifts, so it was kinda like riding a bicycle. I was changing directions back and forth like I had been a farmer my whole life! VERY SMOOTH! Got a bit of wheel spin on the R4's when I was knocking down some trees, but I really don't think R1's filled or unfilled would have done any different. One of those "immovable force meets immovable object" things. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I've only got 6.8 hours on the clock, but so far this has been one heck of a fine tractor.

Have Donald give you two more. Were they "old man hats" or the good kind?

old man hats are the ones with the foam in front and makes the hat look like a billboard. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm going to let him get the hat. Then I'm going to tell him about the Tshirt /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
