I just joined so take it easy on me all you pros. I'm about to pull the trigger on a sub compact (Cub Cadet SC2450 TLB) with a Kioti 60" finish Mower. 24 h.p w/16 pto h.p. $18000. w/mower out the door. I know everyone has their preferences so please don't bomb me alternatives unless you think I'm about to make a big mistake. What I'm interested in is if anybody has negative comments about it (first hand or friends) regarding performance, reliability or potential resale value. I realize I'll take a hit and I would buy used if I could find one in great shape. I don't need somone elses headaches. I have 30 acres (small residential farm) and will be primarily cutting grass, light bucket work small stump, trench etc. I could buy the same machine without the BH for $12,700. ($5250. difference). I realize I could rent a BH but I'm thinking I'll get back more of my investment when selling the model with the BH and save 1-2k rental over 5 yrs. I think more people would be interested in a used BH model especially when consideringit had no commercial use. Tell me if I'm all wet.

Welcome to TBN. You will find a lot of good info on this site, I know I have. As to your decision, being you have 30 some acres, I'd buy a bigger machine without the backhoe. I used to own a 2009 SC2400 TL but with our 44 acres, I found it was too dang small for all I have to do so, last week I traded it in on an EX3200 TL, and 6ft rm finish mower. It will be a week old tomorrow and I've done more mowing and FEL work in the first 4 days with it than I could ever do with the SC2400. The EX3200 is a real beast and gets things done so much quicker and doesn't eat as much fuel doing it.
