Thank you so much for that Bruce. It brought back a LOT of memories, especially of my Dad (who passed just over a year ago).
I'd never heard all of the words to the POGO version... but Dad, and later on myself, would always 'slip in' the "Deck us all with Boston Charlie, swaller dollar cauliflower ali-ga-roo" whilst singing that carol.
Mum would then give him, then me, the LOOK!
We also got the LOOK for singing about shepherds who washed their socks by night.
[all seated 'round the tub, a cake of Sunlight soap came down, and they began to scrub!] [[and this was in Church :laughing:]]
