Decorative Stone Wall Project

Paul, your work with the "other Mini Hoe Project", was one of of the main reasons I am now a PT owner, now here you are again outdoing yourself. I know we are all enjoying both the work, and the presentation, but don't forget to slow down a little, after all "Rome wasn't built in a day". OK, so you are saving money by not having to go to the gym ! ! ! !
Thank you Mr Inspiration.

What measures did you take for frost heaving?
Did you place a drain for your water lines?
I am definetly jealous, I only have a non-running MTD at the moment. Where is my Power-trac? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Robert

My day gets started by going to the airport to have coffee with the guys (gets me going in the morning) then back home to read all the newspapers online, check TBN, stock market, email, etc. By noon I go out and start my projects. The wall has a total time of about 20 hours so far.

Pretty rough, huh? Especially with talk of prices going up. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks Bill,
Actually I go to aerobics class twice a week (those twenty year olds look great) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif which I do enjoy. By the way, the class voted that I was to be in the front so I could not watch the others (only male) working out. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I put drains on all the low side pvc. Frost heave, we will have to wait and see but I am not looking for any trouble in this area.

Many people stopped to ask why I was putting the blocks in backwards.

I was wondering the same thing but didn't have the heart to ask after seeing all of the hard work you were doing. I had planned on doing a similar project around our swimming pool. Chickened out and just brought in 5 tandem dump truck loads of soil, sloped it down to the yard and sodded it. Doesn't look nearly as nice as your project but I think my back feels alot better.

Nice job.

Very nice job, I can't believe that it only took you 20 hours. It would probably take me 20 years.

Worked 3 hours on it today (added dirt and leveled top) and have about 3 more hours to be finished. Then its waiting for my schrubs to show up and plant.
