JJ, what did you mean by BH? I tried poking around the assembly over the weekend, and being that the tractor has a cab, only the rear portion is easily accessible. I was trying to avoid having to pull the whole assembly out of the machine but right now its looking like my only option.

Does anyone has the technical manual for a 5083e? I have a pretty good idea of which bolts need to come out, just to not sure of the order of disassembly.

I do not have regen on the second spool that I know of.

I meant to say remote, and the brand and model number.

You could use #1 spool, just not in float. Were you trying to tie the float spool down. Not good using a hyd motor or cyl.

Only Use the second spool for the auger, fwd and rev. If one of the other spools is a detent full pressure spool, then use that for constant operation.

well the lever used to stick/stay in float and thats the way I used it. The #1 spool doesn't go into float anymore although the detent is still there and I only have hydraulic pressure in one direction (away from the float position) even though the pump still sounds like its pumping oil. I think I may have blown a seal and it is bypassing inside.

Are you saying that you don't have the pressure to extend a cyl?

Granted float will not have any pressure associated with it, but as the lever is pushed fwd, from neutral to the detent, you should have fluid flow and pressure develop by the cyl.

Do you have a hyd gage installed? If not I would highly recommend one to be used to monitor and troubleshoot the hyd system.

It can be installed in a tee at the IN port of the FEL valve.

Something like this. $30

JJ, i appreciate you sticking with me trying to figure this out. As i push the lever forward from the neutral position towards the float detent, I have no hydraulic pressure at all. I can hear the motor bog down and the hydraulic pump sound like its coming against some resistance but no flow. Its not in the FEL valve at the midpoint of the tractor, its the spool under the rear portion of the cab for the rear remotes.

I think i'm just going to have to break down and call the dealer to see what we can work out.

What do you have plugged into the work ports on that remote spool?

If you took two hoses and connected them to the two work ports A and B on that spool and placed the ends of the hoses in a clean bucket and pushed the lever fwd, you should get fluid flow. Pull the lever back and you should get flow.

It is very hard to believe a spool would just jam up and give no flow in one direction with an open work port.

JJ, I stoped in at the dealer today and his suspicions were they same as mine. I think I blew a seal out. Its still covered under warranty so I'll let them fight with it.

Did you remove the hoses from the work ports of that spool and move the lever to see if any fluid was flowing?

If the engine lugs down, the fluid is trying to go somewhere, and is being blocked.

Are the ports on this spool connected to a QD?

they are connected to a QD. The engine sounds the same with either lever that I move in either direction. I didn't remove the hoses yet, maybe I will try and do that tomorrow.
