FWIW on our deal, the fel & backhoe were sufficient to trigger the $1500 rebate (even though factory installed)...

When the old SST18 finally dies I don't know for sure if I will add a belly mower on the 1025R or just pick up a 3pth finish mower to hang off the back like the one we use with the 3038e at the acreage.

I can't comment on the price. But I would suggest getting the mower for the tractor because of the rebate. And you never know when a tractor mounted mower might come in handy. If you buy the ZTR and it's down for maintenance, you can always mow with the tractor.

By the way, I learned how to fly in a Cherokee 140. I love that airplane. I later owned a Piper TriPacer (the "flying milkstool"). It was much more elementary but was a lot cheaper too. It had the glide ratio of a concrete slab, so it was great for landing in our strong Texas crosswinds.
