Deere 3120 3320 3520 3720 PTO Switch replace?

Haven't look it over but the yellow PTO switch on the dash doesn't stay up well when pulled on. I'm assuming this is a simple fix/replace. Any thing I should know regarding these little switches? Thanks!

Have you tried to squeeze some penetrating oil or maybe Fluid Film in the switch?

Thanks... I'm open to try anything. It pops up easy enough, but then slides back down and doesn't stay on.

Might not be a "simple fix/replace", but I think you'll have to replace the switch. Access to remove the switch might be an issue.
If it was just stiff to pull or push, then the penetrating oil or Fluid Film might help...might. But it sounds like there are detents or springs not doing their job...that is, worn out.

But, can't hurt to try the fluid film or penetrating oil first...

It's been a year but I thought I'd update for anyone else who may do a search for the same issue at some point. The switch comes out from the top on my 3120 so no need to get under the dash. There is a plastic catch on top and bottom of the switch so you can carefully pry it up from both top and bottom. I oiled it up and it does seem to work a little better but I'm going to spend the few dollars they cost and replace it. Winter is here and I don't want to be fiddling with the switch when I'm trying to move snow.
