Backhoe Deere 46 backhoe

Yes it does, on the 46bh, the hoe and subframe stay together as a unit. Makes the on/off task fairly easy.

Two notes:

First, the only difficulty I have installing the 46 BH is removing the 3PH 1st, when I've been using 3PH implements. Installing the 46 is a breeze, on anything close to a level area, with a little practice.

Second, WATCH OUT for how FAST that boom moves, especially when fully extended dipper. Get it out away from anything and practice with it slowly. Bruises to siding, trees,... can happen really fast. Bruises to people and pets are much more serious.

Have fun. The 46 is a very capable tool.

Just as a reminder about ground clearance. Remember that although the subframe (when the BH is on) reduces the ground clearance, that reduction is in the form of two stout steel bars running fore and aft. If you hit bottom, it doesn't hurt the tractor any unless you've been droped from a ways up. Scraping over a rock isn't going to hurt the subframe any.
