Deere 990 vs 5103 vs 4120

I'd like to try to answer KB9UDE. I just stopped by a dealer yesterday while I was on a road trip and saw a 990 right next to a 4120. A 3020 series was near by. As an overall appearance thing, not actual dimensions, the 990 looked to be closer in size to the 4120 than the 3020 series machine. Most notably similar was hood and fender heights. Anybody with a different experience?

I came across a 2004 990 with loader MINT with only 2 hours on it and never used and no scratches. The guy never used the thing. I went to my local john deere dealer and told him I was looking for something used and he said he didnt' have much inventory but he was selling this deere outside of the dealership sort of like a consignment. The guy is asking $17,500. I got him down to $16,500, but decided to go with a new Kubota L4400 instead. If you know of anyone that wants it, it is located in Indiana.
