Deere Adds Hydraulic Down Pressure Option On 3PH

Not being familiar with this tractor,,,, it appears they left the original 3pt lift intact, and then added external cylinders to create down pressure??

I believe you are correct. When thinking a bit about the valving required to switch into down-pressure mode, I wonder if the 3PH goes into float mode at the same time as down-pressure. In other words, if the 5000 pounds of down pressure applied is not enough to force the implement down will it allow the 3PH to float UP? (Seems like it would.)
Another question coming to mind is whether the relief valve that controls the 5000 pounds of down-pressure is adjustable.

It is 500 lbs. of down pressure not 5000 lbs.
