I'm not so sure about Deere pricing, but Kubota is very competitively priced in my market and there is no reason for them to cut prices.
I keep reading that "such and such" is thousands cheaper than Kubota, but it just is not so in my market. Heck, New Holland has a reputation for being high priced and I bought a NH for less than a somewhat less powerful Kubota, and the Kubota was less expensive than a Mitsubishi/Cub Cadet and was basically the same price as one of the popular minor brands. It was less than a lower powered other minor brand. Heck I've seen minor brand dealers go out of business in my market. One minor brand dealer sold 2 tractors in just over a year.
So why would a major brand bother to cut prices when it is already competititve?
