Cool. I did not know that you work for CCE. I am on the other end(JD dealership employee) and next year will will go into ag business so I can get to your end. Why don't you support Deere buy buying green? I even call some of the CCE products crap but buy them anyway. Just loyal to old green I guess. Right now I am starting to learn the parts dept. but they told me to not go into the ag business because there are less and less farmers each year and we have a hard time finding new customers.

CCE is commercial and consumer equipment one of the branch company of the core divisions, AG, C+F (construction and forestry) CCE make all lawn products, gators and commercial mowers such as golf course mowers etc. Consumer products like reel mowers, baggers, trimmers etc..

There will be a large change in the jd dealership setup too. If u work there u should get info later in next 3-6 months as the programs go into finalization which will occur in next 6 weeks.
That's the worst part now i myself hate dealing with local dealer when the dealer priced me a LX6 bush hog they said it was over priced etc.. they acted like it was gonna be an act of congress to order it.

That's true it's shifting towards a value oriented product. I didn't know JD as a company was doing as bad as it had been in last 3 yrs. We'll have to see if CFO and jenkins predictions are right. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll take ther 2% and 3 days with pay anyday. And 2 free meals and 2 days of "work" to hear them talk about the company's performance. How about that..lol

So, I wonder if there's any new info flying around.
Deere's "reinventing the tractor" sure has my cogs turning...

It'll be interesting to see the changes that are alluded to. I am looking at cutters. To find a dealer that has all, and can speak without bias is hard to do. Of course, the one they have in stock is the right one.

I wonder how soon I will want to sell my 4310 and get the new product? I wonder if ANY current attachments will fit?

I have yet to see the dealership change appearance. I too would like to see the new products coming. I hope they don't discontinue the 90 series in favor of the 4000 series. Both are pretty good I am just partial to the one series I guess.

Well i haven't seen an update on specific changes our plant manager is in wisconson as we speak talking about the changes etc. All we were told is complete redesign of all equipment reducing model's and adding features as std to reduce model changes. I know theres at least 4 new models coming up next season in small lawn tractor market and also all the large lawn mowers will be redesigned. All this is slated model year 04 - 06 no specifics. Of course if i did i couldn't say..

Main things are #1 lessening models to more robust std tractor built cheaper with more std. #2 dealerships will become more friendly more robust more like friendly neighborhood walmart instead of dreaded tractor dealer to appeal more to masses.

Well i'll have to check into 4000 series and 990's there a pretty new platform not sure exactly but i think there pretty solidly designed only slight model intergration is planned from what 9 models proably to 3-4

You must be really dedicated to buy crap if your money could be spent better else where. I like most JD products but I would not spend dollars on crap just to be loyal. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Seems that Deere could easily go to three basic models in the 4X1X series, as there are just three frame sizes. Could go to the 4110, 4410, and 4710 and cover the bases quite well. Probably we have already seen some of the other changes in the introduction of other Ag models, with sticking to the same general theme and shape. Who knows? Cool, thanks for telling us! I can't wait to see the new garden tractors. I'm not in the dealership enough to hear about the new products. I wonder if some of the JD dealership employees will have to go to training on how to be friendly?

I just don't go buying evrything at the dealership but I just go to the dealership and get what I need. I don't shop around first before buying since I like most of the Deere products but then there are some I dislike very much. I did not like the GT225 garden tractor that we bought a 2 years back. I talked to a guy today who wants to trade in his 855 for a new 4210 or 4310. He wondered what the Advantage series where and I told hime then when I said they were only geared models he put the brochure back. Some people are partial to John Deere and hydros. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also I am sorry if my comments have offended anyone on this board. I will try to be a little more positive about Deere.
