Deere & Company Has Recalled Compact Utility Tract

Reason: Some of the steel bolts used to secure Roll Over Protective
Structure (ROPS) to the tractor's real axle can shear off, decreasing the strength of the ROPS and its ability to protect the operator in the event of a roll over incident.

Thanks Junkman - Mine is going in soon for the 50hr - I guess it'll be getting some new bolts.

Am I the only one who is unlikely to do this?

My 4310 was purchased in April 2003 so I am not in the
serial # range of the recall. However, this recall reminds
me that when my 4310 had 10 hours on it, the seal on the
rear axle was leaking and needed to be replaced.
While I was crawling underneath the tractor trying to find
where the leak was, I noticed that one nut on one of the rops bolts was missing. I got another one from the dealer to
replace it and checked all of the others to ensure they were
tight.

Perrywhite: I have a JD 4300 with folding ROPS. I cannot access the URL for the recall on this matter. Do you remember if any 4300's were involved in the recall ? thanks
