What would be the equal to a BX2200 Kubota and a B7500 Kubota in the JD series? Does Deere have any new machines on the horizon?

Deere is coming out with a completely new series that is in that line Tileman. They will offer features that no other tractor even has. From what the guys that have seen them are telling me they are pretty incredible machines. Of course it still remains to be seen. From what I've gotten from the engineers this was a completely new redesign of tractor technology. My dealer is expecting their demos the first of the year. I'd at least wait and check them out before buying anything else.

I would let John Deere get the bugs worked out of those new line of tractors before I took the plunge. If you don't you could probably rent your garage out for storage space while your John Deere sets in the shop waiting on parts.

Richard is correct in the 41x0 and up. Closer evaluation as the information is coming out about the X4xx and the x5xx series is that they appear to be enhanced (4 wheel drive , a little more weight, a few other enhancements and more price), 400 series garden tractors.

The 41x0 and up series are getting improvements that coul make them very desireable. However, I also would wait for the first or second year bugs to be worked out. As they are adding electronically-augmented HSTs on some of these and that potentially could have owners experiencing a few problems initially.

But then again, i bought the 1996 Plymouth Voyager and it did pretty good, they replaced 3 gas tanks due to a problem in 4 months, and had to replace the filler necks and some electrical harness due to a discoverd potential fire hazard, over the next two months, but I did run that vehicl for 4 years.

I think the 4100 is closest. Its bigger than the BX2200 but a little smaller than the 7500. Pricewise it is between the two as well. I found when I was buying that the BX2200 was judt too small for my needs but the B7500 was a little too big.

That's the same conclusion I came to.

The BX2200 and B7500 are fairly different machines in spec.
The B7500's closest green equiv. is the 4100.

Kubota corners the market with the BX2200 as the only real "sub-compact" tractor worth buying on the market. There really is no green equiv. to this machine.

I think it's more of it's not what was expected. JD seems to be marketing this new X machine as a high line garden tractor and not a sub compact. I was a little taken off guard as I thought it would be very similar, as far as features goes, to the BX2200.

Actually the 4100 is an almost perfect match for the 7500--same wheelbase at 59 inches, same engine displacement at 61 cubes, slightly heavier weight for the Yanamar produced 4100, same wheel and tire size. Last I checked it was priced about like the 2410 but realize there are some attractive model change over prices for the 4100 and the low interest rates are great for everyone. J

I saw your pics in the other thread and now I realize those were the trailer tires!
Hey, my next door neighbor--the one with the 455--his dad is part owner in a JD dealer somewhere--anyway he may be getting a 4100 also--kinda like a Christmas present or something. Drats, /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif . He has been out of town a lot and he has not seen my secret--oops--I did not say a thing--not a thing. Time to go study---before my wife kills me for staying at TBN all the time. J

Yes, I forgot they were in the picture, ooooppppss. But as you see the trailer is very low on the floor and probably will go lower as I still have a little trouble clearing that ROPS by the arm of the garage door opener. I need another two inches lower.
