After the postal delivery person hit the mailbox for the 4/5th time and finished off the door I decided it was time for a new one...found a "Super Heavy Duty" one made of 1/8" Plate Steel (weighs 34 lbs :D)....I've always wanted a Deere Mailbox but wanted "my own" custom version...so I painted it JD Green and had some custom decals made....

Nice job! Only I don't worry about the mailman ruining my mailbox. I would like to be there to see the reaction of the kid who tries to smack it with a bat!!

Very, Very nice. I clicked on this thread expecting to see the following photo.

Yours is MUCH more classy.... Although, not as heavy duty...;)

LOL, when I clicked the last thread about mailboxes, in my head I was thinking "*bleep*, I'm gonna get beat to it"... I dont think the neighbors would care for the "whole tractor" version...LOL...As it is they've probably been thinking I'm a nut for some time.. 3520 Cab and a F935 w/72" Mower to maintain a whopping 2 acres...
But they do look at me jealously when they're push mowing their yard and I can buzz mine out in 20 mins.

LOL..... Your mailbox is sweet. You could very easily make them and sell them for a profit. I would buy one! I thought you had more than 2 acres:D

Love that mailbox, but the whole mower concept fits me better...

What do you think my neighbors think when I only have 2.3 acres and two tractors,( 70 and 90 hp) and a 23.5 hp diesel lawnmower to help them?

. Yep, I got 2.25 acres and 1+ is grass to mow. So I know what you mean, it does not take long to mow the grass and/or plow the snow! LOL

The Overkill Club is thriving!

I was going for size...:D the 3x20 series.

I will not get into the fact that you needed the extra HP due to the lack of.......:D Just kidding....

but a 3520 cab for 2 acres...

I am sorry Nuru, but you need Sat radio in your tactor, and you only have 2 acres... Seriously...ROTFLMAO....

I have 3 tractors for 2.33 acres.
That's .7766666 acres per tractor.

Or is it 1.2875536 tractors per acre?

But they are Kubotas and they don't count:D:D

Just think, one deere could do that same as all three of your orange jobs..:D

Just Kidding LB.....:D

Seriously, thats a downfall to being a "Farm Boy" marrying a "Farm Girl"...all my life I've used tractors for chores, etc... Couldnt live without them... As it is we bought the F935 when we got the house (project tractor, price was too good to pass up) and while 23 Diesel Horses pushing around a 72" mower is sweet, it wasnt that useful around the house... SERIOUSLY Speaking when I started my search, I started out by looking at a 4x20 Cab....

I hear ya. Except on the farm you don't want a cab in the summer because the AC did not work in any of them. I can honestly say i have never been in the field with a large tractor that the AC worked in until recent.:(

:DIf I went from 3 Kubotas to 4 JDs I'd have to cut my acrage from 2.33 acres to 1.75 acres in order for the JDs to handle it.;)

Hey, Hey nmu98, I like my jazz, the news, some of the talk shows, and the comedy - none of that is really available except NPR on terrestrial radio. and i got a portable SAT RADIO, that I use when I am outside working any how, so I just can plug it into the 3520's radio and there you go SAT RADIO!

I do have a wireless TV set-up whereupon i could, ......etc LOL!

Hwy, BTW, I have some "TACTORs" (small transducer), but they are on the tractor!;)

LB, now wait a minute, Well couldn't you just trade-in all those KBA's, get one decent sized JD and do it all with that, instead of having to hop off an on those 4 KBA units, risking injury on those cold morning and nights, make a profit so that you could get some additional attachments and pay your 2008 income taxes?:D

yep, Definitely another fellow member of the Overkill Club - OK for short!

nmu98 - it is not sizing the tractor for the job, it is sizing the tractor for the speed that you want the job done! Bigger than you might need tractor on smaller acreage = job done fast! More time for other things in life!:D
