Deere sure isn't scared of Mahindra. Real farmers will not buy one because they know that they are just an old 30 year old IH tractor made in India..........

Sure some of you cheapskates may buy one, but if you do any real work it will fall apart. Then you will wish that you had a real tractor.

Stick with the name brands, JD, Case-IH, Agco

Is this for real? Hum...some people....If it's not for real, I guess I am just feeding a troll. If it is for real, people with this magnitude of ignorance, are amusing to observe.

Yeah johndeerefarmer, you are quite correct. Think I will get another Mahindra 6500 for the other end of my bookshelf.

I do not buy a tractor by "brand". Had a new JD before this one.

Oh, a lot more can be said, but I think it is more fun to watch you wallow in your feeble-minded, fuddlebrained bigotry.

Hope you get a new pair of blinders for the new year, cause the ones you have now must be worn out from so much straight ahead looking......l

Edit: No info entered for this bozo, so...probably some dullard, who is already a member, trying to stoke the fire. These people always strike me as very slimy. That's ok. Chet happens every day, and one has to deal with it. What I said above, should take care of today's quota, because I dealt with some real slimy Chet!

I've put my 6000 through 550 hours of real work and so far it's not let me down. As far as being 30 year old IH designs, that's not true but if it was what's wrong with what works. Simplicity is great.
I bet Johndeerefarmer is riding around on a brand spanking new Deere 03 or 05 series fresh from India.

Well deerefarmer;
I grew up riding on a 49 A; My dad kept me out of trouble by sending me to the field and tilling till dark and later. Second tractor and my favorite all around tractor was a 41 IH H that he bought new during the war on steel wheels. That tractor has a million miles on it because it was more practical and economical that the JD ever thought to be.
Sure I work for a friend that is a deere person and decided why JD's are green; its goes with all the money they cost. The Buying and repairing. I have spent allot of time and his money on hyd problems, engine, carb, starters, wheel clamps, flywheels falling off, pony motors etc what's left.

I priced and compared; tried to buy a "brand name". It was a article in
Farm Shop Mag. that put me on to a Mahindra. If IH, a "brand name" thought they where a good tractor then why not take a look. I didn't have to go 50 Miles to find a dealer to shop. Every time I use my 7520 it never fails to amaze me on how it preforms. Read the independent reports then shut up.

Oh was working in the shop today and needed a 15/16 wrench; went and picked up my favorite wrench. It is about a 30 year old John Deere comination wrench with John Deere printed on one side and made in Tiawan on the other side. JD sold out along time ago.

Right on Maine, I can't believe some of the attitudes that show up on TBN. Johndeerefarmer, a newbie shows up here preaching about how much better John Deere is than everything else, but most of us on TBN know better:D. I don't understand why some of these JD guys feel like they have to promote/defend JD like its a badge of honor for the USA, or feel like you are personally attacking one of their children if you happen not to want to own, or dislike JD tractors. I can't figure out why people get so defensive about a hunk of steel, plastic, and sheetmetal in any color. In this case, Johndeerefarmer has only posted 8 times and more than half of his post seem to be inflamatory or somewhat argumentative, and pro JD, fine the guy likes JD, big deal, people get what they like and what fits their needs red, blue, green, orange, yellow, there all good....now where is that bottle of the "real" JD.

Sad thing is that you don't know what you are talking about... The diff lock only locks the rear wheels. I would hate to buy one of those Kubota's from you, since YOU tend to skew things..

Re: New Vermeer 5410 Rebel Baler

Check the resale value on John Deere v.s. ANY other brand. Green may cost a little more up front but is worth it in the long run. Around here, a few tightwads use Kubota and MF tractors and Vermeer...

John Deere is better. Costs more up front but has a higher resale value.
"Real" farmers and customer operators use John Deere............

Dad and i bought the Craftsman 3/4 drive set nearly 20 years ago. Still works great (even after I put a 6' cheater pipe on the breaker bar) to remove stubborn nuts on my Bush Hog mower blades

Re: MAHINDRA,KIOTI AND KUBOTA,HOW DO THEY COMPARE?

That's the problem. Kubota's are too light. Meaning their frame isn't heavy enough. They break easy.

Buy a heavy tractor, like a John Deere /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Be careful with those cheap post hole diggers. I have saw the boom bent when it was used with larger hp tractors. (this happens when the auger gets stuck in the ground and the hitch is raised up to...

Re: Opinions on Round Balers

I ran a JD 4x4 round baler for 12 years. I put about 1000 bales a year through it. In thick windrows, I kicked out a bale about once a minute. This baler had manual tie (hydraulic) and manual gate....

Some posters do themselves and the tractor brand they fancy a great disservice by posting tripe when it comes to the arena of opinion and the art of plying the aformentioned and it's accompanied virtue.

William Shakespeare (Comedy of Tractors act II scene III)

Wow...where did this come from? I thought this thread was pretty much over, but as long as it's open again, some thoughts for you to consider....

1. In the computing world, there was a long standing rivarly between Apple and Microsoft/Intel. In the late '90s there was some pretty pointed advertising (by Apple) poking fun at it's rivals. To a lesser extent this happens today. What happened last year? Intel and Apple got together and now Mac run on Intel's chips. Was Intel scared? Was Apple?

2. Next, consider the auto industry. 50 years ago....even 20 years ago it would be *inconceivable* that Mercedes Benz would merge with Chrysler. And now? Daimler-Chrysler. What have we heard in the news lately? Yes, it was confirmed that Ford is in talks with Toyota.

So what's my point? Like it or not, we're in a global market. Sure, there are some aspects I don't like, but there are many things that benefit me as both the consumer and producer. IMO, these benefits outweigh the drawbacks by a large margin.

How many of these 'real' farmers would spend the extra $$ for a so-called name brand tractor, but turn around and higher illegal aliens?

If you've done any research on Mahindra USA, you'd know that it's not just Indian tractors, but Japanese and Korean tractors as well. Also, I'm guessing that you don't know that Mahindra made many of the Jeeps during WWII. I guess those weren't really jeeps, though...

I bought a 2015HST which is made by Mitsubishi. Would I be any more or less a cheapskate if I bought a Cub Cadet 7105? It's the EXACT same tractor. Sure, call me a cheapskate...I'll be laughing all the way to the bank. :)

Stick with the name brands, JD, Case-IH, Agco

Don't forget Mahindra, Kubota, Kioti, and TYM. :)
