First blush... it's an easier system to understand and will make it more intuitive for comparing various JD models with different brands, etc.

Can't say the same for the numbering system for the combine models, though...

A step in the right direction; all in all.

The new naming measures the HP at the engine flywheel and not the PTO. I learned this watching the RFD JD show.

A metric HP is less than a std mechanical HP, so subtract 1 of every 60 metric hp to get a good comparison to real engine HP.
