Did my first service on my F2690 yesterday. Changed engine oil and engine and hyd filter. Used the same strap wrench that gets tighter on filters as you turn one way or the other and it kept slipping. I had purchased a filter removal wrench some months ago for removing filters on Polaris ATV which are hidden up inside the bottom of the machine. The wrench is spring loaded and you open to fit over end of filter and then it tightens as you turn to remove and has a 1/4" drive for using a 1/4" wrench/ratchet. I used an adapter and used my 1/2" ratchet and easy peasy removal. It does not go the other way for installing so did hand and strap wrench a bit for final install tightening.
Now comes that dreaded or both dreaded oil pan bolts that seem welded on. No luck with 15mm ( I think or 5/8) socket 1/2" drive then remembered my most recent purchase of a Ryobi battery impact wrench 1/2" drive. First use and it removed that bolt almost as soon as I pushed the go button!!!!! Yep, I have a couple of air impact wrenches and the compressor is right there to turn on and wait till it fills to 145psi but that battery impact wrench I bought for going away from the garage removals needed using/trying. Now ready for servicing the new MX5400 when another 46 hours is put on it.
This is the filter removal tool I used which fit over the Kubota engine oil filter and F2690 hyd filter. Amazon.com: Lisle 636 Oil Filter Tool: Automotive
