I've owned most all sizes of the BXs and Bs and a few Ls. First off the dealer gets no more or less money if you pay cash or finance. Most new machines belong to Kubota and dealers sell them and get their money at the end. Used machines are owned by the dealers.
I've owned a BX1500 which was/is the best BX for mowing and the most stable on hillsides. Sn in law has one for sale now with MMM, no fel, with 730 hours for around $6000 so you'll understand used pricing. My neighbor had a BX1800 MMM that climbed his hillside like a billy goat and never lacked mowing power. My niece has BX1870 MMM and uses their 60" Landpride tiller on it. I use a 48" Landpride tiller on my BX2370 so no problem with tillers. One person here said they used a Bush hog/rotary mower on their BX1800 and if they hadn't posted I'd have told you to forget rotary mowing with about any BX due to weight and power but mostly weight. A cheap rotary mower which will be light weight is useless after a few times using it or junk.
Kubota is currently advertising the BX1880 MMM for $99 a month for 84 months with zero down and 0% so you need to figure out how much for the FEL to determine fair price.
0% at Kubota can be a true 0%, sometimes. Sometimes there is no reduction in price with cash or credit and remember this is all up to Kubota and not the dealer. Sometimes Kubota offers a rebate (discount) if one pays cash which the dealer is informed. It was $700 a few years ago on the BX23xx but it comes and goes at Kubotas whim. I doubt there is any discount or rebate now on the BX1880 MMM since Kubota is pushing it on TV (VS JDs $100 a month one without mowing deck) and Barlows has a Kubota slick flyer on his counter promoting the BX1880 MMM for $99 month 0 down 0% 84 months and the B for $129 a month.
As someone has mentioned about traction. With most Kubotas in the compact and sub compact size they run out of traction before they run out of power. I personally has a choice last year between a BX1880 or the BX2370 MMM and I chose the BX2370-1 MMM but Kubota was not running their national sale with more competitive pricing on the BX1880 MMM. I rec'd the 60 months 0% and zero down so I pay about $30 more for 24 less months.
