I think I may have figured out the rattling issue. My pto was on the mid/rear setting. I switched it to mid only. Now I only near the rattling before I lower the deck to cut. Once I start cutting, the rattling goes away and it sounds better.

That is a good looking tractor. At first I wasn't crazy about the higher hood line, but the more I see it the better I like it. I've watched a couple of videos on the auto connect mower too, and they sure make installing it look easy! Keep us posted on how it works out for you.

The autoconnect is going on and off with no problems right now. I'm very happy with it. Heres a few pictures I took while taking off the deck.

My focus was on getting these hillsides cut...

Looks like you are trying it out on those hillsides! How has the traction been so far? Congrats on the new machine!

The traction has been great. However, I don't have any additional weights on the tractor and it didn't take long for me to figure out it's easier to drive down the hills and then back up them. I just put it in 4 low and get to work. It's much easier than using a weedeater!

It's much easier than using a weedeater!

You are right about that! There are a few tricky areas on my property that used to be weedeater-only before the tractor came along.

When I bought my 2520 earlier this year, I was a little concerned about the type of traction I would get as well as the overall stability. I have a loader on mine and keep a box blade on the back, so it's pretty weighed down, but I haven't had any traction problems so far either. I also thought that a smaller tractor with a narrower wheel base in the rear would be less stable than what I'm used to. The rear tires are on the wide setting & although I'm cautious, I haven't had the "tippy" feeling on the tractor thus far. John Deere is doing great work with these smaller tractors!
