Yanmar should advertise the 424 more. It's the perfect machine for a lot of people.

Agreed, right now the SA 3/424 series is very compelling against the competition as a value proposition. Without being to self affirming I preferred the 424 to any tractor in it's class the fact that it was cheaper than any of the better established brands is kind of icing on the cake. I almost bought the Mahindra but there was too many things I didn't love about it then I met the Yanmar dealer at the Bloomsburg Fair. I am a big believer in the engineering leap frog effect and within a few years the other manufacturers will incorporate or improve features on their tractors that prove successful on other brands and perhaps leapfrog the 424. But for now I preferred the operator ergonomics, the total Yanmar component content, all around reputation for quality, PRICE!, and two very good dealers near where the tractor will spend most of its life. If Yanmar took on the marketing campaign the size of Mahindra's I am sure it would yield excellent results.

Totally agree. A lot guys have a 424 because they did a TON of research. When I started looking for a compact tractor I didn't even know Yanmar branded tractors existed, but I noticed how many manufacturers advertised the fact that they were using Yanmar engines and that got me Googling.

I think with a little creative advertising, more people would get to know this machine and the 424 would get a cult following (maybe it's already started?)

100% agree. If I can't buy American, I'm buying Japanese. I like the honesty of having the name of the manufacturer on the product. I also like knowing that one company built the entire tractor from the ground up.

So, there are only two Japanese companies that build entire tractors, engines and all, with their name on it, that's Kubota and Yanmar. Both are 100+ year old companies with vast amounts of experience producing industrial equipment.

I like Kubota, but I like Yanmar just as much, and I like that they're back in the North American market building their own products with their name on it.

Yes indeedy... And for what it's worth, and Yanmar is bringing jobs to America both through their factory in Georgia and the fact that they source their backhoes and other attachments from American companies.
