Well, my B7610 TLB was delivered yesterday. As I caught a glimpse of the VERY large flatbed zooming down the gravel hill toward our driveway I knew that this truck was going where no truck (this big) had gone before... up our driveway. Now our driveway is very narrow in places flanked by a rock outcrop on one side and a waterfall on the other, capped off with a creek crossing in a slight turn. The driver just waved and forged ahead as my husband went to "consult" with the driver before he proceeded up our drive. Sure enough, the truck didn't quite make the turn at the creek crossing and hung his right rears over a drop off about 5 feet wide WITH MY TRACTOR ON THE BACK. Now I'm not prone to be a hysterical type female but I was getting a little uneasy. A feeble attempt at bridging the gap with timbers proved futile (those things break really easy with several tons sitting on them). Credit the driver though, he lowered his tilt bed to the ground and pushed the truck across until the wheels were on (not so) solid ground. All was well now (except for getting back out, which he did). The tractor was unloaded and the implements slid off the truck and carried across the next little creek to their temporary parking place. Those chain hooks welded on the bucket sure came in handy. Thanks guys. The driver helped me remove the hoe and attach the brush hog. Then it was back to building the tractor house before the remnants of hurricane Frances arrive next week. Hope for some pics today (now that I've stopped shaking) and a chance to try out the new bota.

Here is a pic of me, my brown and white spinone Moose, my mixed breed dog Ace, and my new tractor in front of our old barn. Moved part of a big compost pile to the garden today and got the garlic patch mowed (a friend got to mow). This is going to be fun!! BTW, the tractor was parked when the dogs were around.

Looks good! The background provides a nice glimpse of your future activities too. Your gonna be one busy lady!

As one of the big tractor operators said to me as I was moving a gravel pile: Kubotas eliminate wheel barrows, Case 580s eliminate Kubotas. But, he didn't say that no matter which equipment you get, there is still a lot of manual labor to finish off each job. It becomes a game to eliminate as much of this labor as possible, which in the end makes each of us a better operator. Just the same, remember to take care of your back as you finish off each project.
