Do you have any pix of the new 148? Do you know who makes it for Fecon?

My dealer is getting me one of the first 5 148s that are to be sold (I hope!!). I ran the prototype and loved it, my only concern is the steep terrain out here. Our first 180 acres was 30-50% slope. It was to steep to head down forward you had to mulch as you climb and then back down about 500 feet to an area that you could change direction. We have not finished our first job yet and we already have another 100 acres added on. To answer your ? I am not quitting I am growing. If it gets to big I am going to add a Barko 930 too.

I just flew back into Nashville today, I am going up tomorrow (Friday) to meet with my dealer pay my bill and talk about the new machine.

It looks like the 148 is going to be delayed for a little while longer. I do not know for sure but I think they want to put 200-300 more hours on the prototype. My dealer told me who makes it but I did not write it down and, naturallly, I forgot who it was before I was across the county line. I believe I have shaken baby syndrome from mulching 60 hours a week for the last year. It is made in Canada though, the engine is a tier III Deere. It is supposed to be a very reputable large manufacturer. I love the engine in the 140 and I am very happy they stuck with Deere. The grinder seems real nice the engine sits very low in the chasis and it is a suspended live track, not rigid like the 140. I think this will be better for me because of the rocks we are in right now. The rocks can get quite rough when it is 40-50% slope and they are burried under just a little dirt.
