Demolishing a house...Best Option?

Burning is a great way to go. Fire Dept will come out and pretty much do it for you. Then in the aftermath just a little dozer work to clean up.

That's what we did to my FIL's old stone house before they rebuilt. Was a whole day get-together - and LOTS of fun!!!

An excavator with a thumb.... It's AMAZING how quick the house is a pile of, ah house.

Hot diggity!!! Gunnar, that looks like lots of fun, but I haven't seen one of those in any rental yard around here. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You should also get a tax break/write-off for 'donating' your house for training purposes when they burn it down.

Never thought of that. Next house I burn I'll remember that /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I burnt down my old 2 story house and a barn. Neighbor told me no sense paying taxes on them if they were not being used. The county assessor seen this as an improvement to my property and raised my taxes substantially. I remind my neighbor about his advice about this time each year! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
