I think the worst problems with the dentures for me was the plastic that covered the roof of your mouth (hated that) and stuff getting underneath them.
I lost an argument with a two way door which cost me 6 teeth, implants $7k each so went a titanium plate, excellent fit but avoid bread with poppy seeds, feels like a load of gravel under the plate and about the only thing that gets in there.
