Although i'm a big fan of Meguires products especially for paint, there is one for black plastic from Mothers (Back to Black) that does a good job on old faded black plastic

Happy the information may prove useful- Back to Black has saved a few pieces of plastic that were in really faded condition on some of my vehicles
