Desiel in the motor oil and smoking exhaust

White smoke from the exhaust pipe is usually due to,
too much fuel or water being burned.
I don't understand why your fuel tank would be under so much pressure
Have you checked your coolant for oil contamination,
you may also have a cracked head, block or head gasket.
The fuel return line "may" be pressurizing your tank...

Check hyd pressure with a gauge. It's possible hyd relief valve could be stuck.

Too much fuel in a diesel simply makes more black smoke. Burning coolant will make a little bit of gray smoke but will have a cylinder miss due to diluted fuel.

I'm still leaning towards faulty injection pump based on the original symptoms.

That said, both the injection pump and hydraulic pump are... hydraulic pumps and work on the same principles. If the plungers or bores are worn, you can get pressure bypassed in places you dont want it. If its blowing seals, its due for an overhaul.

I pulled the injectors and the injection pump and had them tested by a company specializing in desiel pumps. Everything is good with the fuel system. I drained the radiator and no problem there either. I pull the hydraulic pump and the seal had been blown forward out of its seat which is letting the hydraulic oil fill the engine crank case. I replaced the seal and the whole thing happened again. Pulled the hydraulic pump back off and the seal was once again blown forward out of its seat. So either something is wrong with the pump or the hydraulic system is over pressurizing.
