hello all,

I am trying to modify a three point rear mounted snowblower so that i can use hydraulic or electric power to rotate the chute instead of moving it manually. Does anyone have pictures of this type of mechanism on on a commercially built snow blower or have ideas about something they may have created themselves.

Here's my homemade hydraulic setup. I used a cylinder that I had laying around doing nothing. Works great!

The left picture is one I made - the cable rides on a curved piece very close to the chute. The cable wraps around the chute with the ends tied off. Same idea as Farm King (Allied, Buhler) - right 2 pics. Cable length stays constant through the travel.

I used a cheap HF winch. Rope was only used for testing.

I see a large caster under your blower. Are there 2?
Interested to know how it (they) serve (s).

And nice winch install. All the torque U need as well as correct speed.(I also used winch)

Yes there are two swivel casters bolted on (temp setup) to keep the blower from digging into my gravel driveway. So far it's works pretty well except we haven't had enough snow in the past 2 winters to really test it out much.
