Dewave, Do you find it annoying that you have hydraulic hoses hanging all over when you hook up your backhoe.

The website states it has "self contained" hydraulics. Does that mean it runs off the tractor? Did they put in another remote? If so, I guess you can run something else from it right? Maybe like top and tilt?

Yes the hydraulics run off the engine. However they did not actually put in another remote, your fel has a separate manifold for it's operation, but you could set up a rear remote using the existing lines from the BH. They just need to be rerouted... sorta hard to explain. I'll take some pics today and hopefully that will explain it somewhat better then my words can.

No, actually the first time they set it up (according to the manufacturer's diagram) the hoses were short, allowing little movement away from the BH while still having hyd pressure lines connected. So another length of hyd line was used which turned out to make the attaching/detaching easier. When it is attached I have some extra line between the tractor and BH. I loop that extra and tie-rat (SP) it out of the way. Wha-la

Today I hope to attach the BH, if time allows, and will take some either "How not to or How to attach the BH" pictures. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My backhoe is powered the same way. Plugs into the hydraulic block that also powers the loader.
If you ran the backhoe lines back for remotes you would still need a valve to control it.
So, in my opinion if John wants rear remotes, he is much better off adding the factory rear remote kit.
Its a much better setup.

Don,
I see your subframe steps up near the backhoe end, which would give you more ground clearance under the hoe for loading on a trailer Etc.
The subframe on my Rhino 85 is straight back (no step up)
I will keep that step in mind, I may alter my subframe some day the same way.

Thanks Vince for putting in words what I could not, concerning the rear remotes.

I see your subframe steps up near the backhoe end

In my BH manual it shows all the different subframes for various Kioti tractors. I noticed that the CK20 subframe was the only one with a step-up. It's still very close to hitting when I trailer it.

I'm not sure if I'll ever modify my subframe or not.
The only time I notice it dragging much is going on and off the trailer.
But now that I've seen how your subframe steps up I will keep it in mind if I ever do any changes.

Dewave:

Did you run the Hydro. lines through the Sub-Frame or did the dealer? Also, did you get the extra length of hose from your dealer and what is the length you added?? Thanks. G

The dealer did. Yes, free of charge and 10 ft length. I like the extra lenght, makes it easy to connect/disconnect. I route it a little different then the dealer does to reduce the amount of pressure of the hose against the subframe edges. They were cutting into the line. I am yet to have a line snag on anything,,, knock on wood. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
