I also think it's the load check valve, it got broke or flaten the spring.

How do I check/test the check valve?
And wouldn't the boom just drop whenever there was no flow to the cylinder if it's a busted check valve? As I mentioned earlier, the loader stays up as long as I stay clear of the joystick.

The load check only comes into play when you are shifting.
The purpose of the load check is to prevent the load shift when you move the levers, and also prevents back flow to the IN port.
