Kubota B1750 HST
I recently purchased a late 90's Kubota B1750 HST, 2WD, 650 hours, with 60" MMM, boom pole, pond scoop, 4 foot blade, and cultivators. I purchased it for $2900. I searched all over the internet for b1750's and could hardly find any for under 5000 and most of them were a lot more used (high hours). Overall the tractor is in good shape, I would rate it 7 out of 10. Just minor cosmetic issues.

Let me know what you think.

Also Does anyone have a B1750 that they use with a 5 foot bushhog? I was told a 4 ft was a better match for it but I my dad has an old 5 foot that I can get.

Here are some pics.

Thanks

I think "stole it" is a good description. That's a mighty fine looking tractor for what you paid. Looks like it has been taken care of and should provide you a lot of good use. I don't recall the PTO horsepower for your model, but it no doubt is a bit less than a 5 foot bush hog would require. It might be a bit light for a 5 footer also. Those rotary cutters swing a lot of weight a long way behind the tractor and ideally should weigh less than a third of the tractor's empty weight. One thing though, if it's available you could try it in a safe area to determine if it will work.

Looks like a great deal to me.

I'd post it on Ebay with a BIN price of $5000!

I wouldn't recommend buying a 5' RC for that garden tractor, but like mentioned, if you have one to try out, go for it. Leave the top link off and cut with it. That'll keep you from lifting it all the way up and loosing your steering!!

With the low hours and TLC, I think your ownership will be free if you ever sell, or upgrade to a larger tractor. I would consider it a "steal!" One of my Kubotas is an early L175 I use for a sprayer and 4' bush hog....paid $1200 in '89, and have seen them sell here in Calif. for $3500+!! Kubotas are very durable tractors.

I have a bx 2200 which is similiar in size. I also have a 5 ft ford brush cutter. Without the FEL attached and the 3 pt in the high position, I can literally lift the front end of the tractor off the ground w/ one hand. In this case, weight is your enemy, not HP. I'd stick w/ a 48" max.

Looks like a very good buy, by the way.

I have 215 pounds of weight to put on the front. If weight is not an issue, will a 20HP tractor be enough for a 5 footer.

By the way I think I stole it, but the wife does not agree.

I think you got a sweet deal!!

I'd say you got an outstanding deal. I would have paid that in a heartbeat.

I also think the 5 ft hog would be too big. Stick with the 4 footer.

Outstanding deal! I used to have one in 4WD before moving up to a B3030HSDC.20HP-15.5 PTO HP. No way on the 5 footer. Enjoy.
