Purchase midwest, I called looking for the midwest aerator and was told that, so I just purchased one from sweet.

Midwest is a OEM (Original Equipment Manufacterer) for Kioti. Midwest supplies 3 point implements and mid mount mowers.

We get a lot of those types of rumors, so we just sort of laugh it off now. At various times the buyer has been Toyota, Nissan, ALCOA, Ameren, you get the picture. All clients of ours, so it's understandable people get the wrong idea.

Once upon a time, we had a client actually claim that he owned us, but he was a much smaller account for us than the others above and looking to improve his image. We stopped doing business with him.

But, to clarify, we currently still pay all our own bills.

JimMc....... how about a rebate program for people on the TBN site that purchase your equipment through a TBN retail advertiser???? I am in the market for a aerator in Kubota orange, but will accept Kioti orange, if that is all you can supply..... Say... $100 for purchases made between January 1st and February 28th????? Good marketing tool to improve sales during the winter.. and I won't even charge you a consultation fee for the suggestion.... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Junkman,
Midwest offers a discount in the winter to dealers that purchase at certain levels. During this time of year there are more people looking than purchasing. A dealer understands that and knows that items received now will likely be in inventory over the winter until spring. Business does not stop but dealer inventories may be lower on dirt working items during the colder weather months.

Realize that the average MFG in making 5-20% on any one implement. A $100 may be 5 times the profit in one implement. Midwest already has the lowest price of any US MFG on 3 point the aerator. Prices may vary across the US on Midwest items because of the logistical delivery cost. Dealers that order truckloads purchase at the highest discounts and also have an logistical advantage because the freight per unit is less than if a dealer ordered less than a truckload. If it was the situation of Midwest needing to create some needed sales they would lower their prices if possible but Midwest is wide-open busy.
