So I have a question... How do you determine the safe working angle for the tractor without getting to the "ooops - too far" stage?

I am thinking strictly trial and error for each circumstance. I have been at a similar angle as the OP posted or maybe a tiny bit more and mine was on the way over- teetering. I had a 710# ROBB on the 3PH low to the ground and unknowingly had the 510# grapple bucket corner hooked under a stump or root, along with the right-front tire in a depression from the stump I was digging out and the whole tractor on a slight tilt to the right. All of this happening quickly as I was moving back and forth digging the stump with the FEL when all of a sudden the tractor quickly tipped to the right when I raised the bucket and was so close to going over I gingerly dropped the ROBB to the ground, shut off the tractor and very carefully slid off the left side, which was in the air, to access the situation.

Once my heart had slowed down to under 150 BPM, I accessed the situation and figured out the bucket was hooked under something and raising the bucket was what caused my problem. I then got back on, started her up and very carefully lowered the bucket a couple inches to get the wheels back on the ground. I sure wish I would have had the OP's angle gauge on the tractor during this event. But realistically this may not have been an accurate "angle rollover test" due to the forces of the bucket driving me over.

My track is as narrow as it gets at 68" since most of my tractor time is spent in deeply wooded areas.
