"Well, I have no intention of asking to be allowed back into the FP threads. Frankly, I expect to see the rules applied consistently - meaning everyone should be restored, or no one should be restored.

Did I sling a few insults - sure. I'm not inclined to be apologetic for responding in-kind to a stick in the eye. None of this really bothers me because it just goes with the territory when discussing religion and politics. Heck, sometimes it's even fun to come up with a clever way to deliver a verbal slack across the teeth of your opponent. More bothersome to me are those who jump immediately to insults when their ideology has no defense.

Personally, I think anything short of making personal threats or inciting violence should simply be handled at each user's discretion - accept/block/leave. The moderator doesn't need to be bothered every time little johnny calls me a nasty.

I watch with curiosity to see if this issue is ultimately resolved fairly." unquote

"You know, I'll miss the banter but I will not "ask" permission to be restored to a status that should never have been removed. I can get a little adamant on issues of principle The "right thing" to do is in the hands of the moderator, and he doesn't need me whining to him in a PM for motivation." unquote

Ya know Egbert while we've had our differences, those pieces are singularly the best things I've heard come from your pen.
Two thumbs up.

Well, I dunno if I'd exactly call it funny crash ... but it is fairly handy and pretty comfortable after a long trip.

The referigerator/freezer and microwave is nice too ;)

I understand, those long trips across town can be quit tiring. A person needs to get rested up before head back. :cloud9:

You "understand" ?

You don't know ?

What ... did they take your driver's license away or something ? :D

Wouldn't know ... don't make any of them in what I do ... mine tend to be just a leetle longer ...

Here's a little ol' turbocharger for a GE diesel locomotive engine I hauled from Kansas City, MO up to Havre, Montana ... that one ended up being around 3200 miles roundtrip ... since I had to go back to Havre to get something else they forgot to put on the truck:

Might wanna read it again ... ;)
I didn't mean dueling as opposed to each other, I meant it as in besting each other whilst moving in the same general direction.

Maybe I should've written "racing rs'es"....

If you, after having been banned by him from FP for transgressing his rules, wanna instruct him on what's "right" well, more power to ya.

Thanks.

I'm not trying to "instruct" him, nor am I intentionally trying to raise his ire. I believe I am just pointing out the obvious, and I'm willing to abide by his current decision - or, hopefully, see this issue corrected.

Ask and Ye shall receive?

The forum function, management, and practice parallels another area of life you are more familiar with than many, IMO. Your resistance vs some other's immediate repentance, is a curious thing to me. On both counts.

Last I heard "Driver is Responsible for His Load.
My how things have changed' - Delivery van with a sleeper, sure cuts down on load space - Kinda pushing the limits with a 3,200 pound load.
